Rotate Image Online
Turn photos 90° left, right or 180° — lossless
To rotate an image, open it above and click Rotate left or Rotate right until it's the right way up (click twice for 180°), then export. The rotation is saved into the pixels, so the photo shows correctly in every app and website — and nothing is uploaded.

How to rotate Image
Open the photo
Choose the sideways or upside-down image.
Rotate
Click Rotate left or Rotate right. Each click turns the image 90°.
Export
Download as JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF.
Why do photos appear sideways?
Phones store how they were held in an EXIF 'orientation' tag instead of rotating the pixels. Most apps read the tag, but some upload forms, older software and websites ignore it, so the photo appears sideways. Fylo applies the orientation when it opens the photo and then saves the rotated pixels, so the result looks right everywhere without relying on that tag.
Rotating with text and drawings
If you've already added text, stickers or shapes, they rotate together with the photo and keep their positions. Rotating by 90° steps is lossless for the picture itself — every pixel is simply moved — and the exported file is only re-compressed according to the format and quality you pick.
Rotate, then keep editing
Rotation is just one tool in the full editor, so you can straighten a scanned document and then crop off the scanner bed, rotate a product photo and add a price label, or turn a landscape shot into portrait orientation before cropping it to 9:16 for a story. Every step can be undone, and the original file on your device is never modified — you always download a new copy.
Screenshots, scans and photos from older cameras that don't store orientation all work the same way. If a batch of photos all need the same turn, open them one after another; the editor remembers your export format between images.
Frequently asked questions
Can I rotate by a custom angle, like 15°?
The photo itself rotates in 90° steps. Text, stickers and added images can be rotated freely with their rotation handle.
Can I flip a mirror selfie?
Yes — use Flip horizontal in the same panel.
Will rotating reduce quality?
The rotation is lossless; only the export compression you choose affects quality. Pick PNG or quality 95+ JPG to keep it maximal.
Does it remove the EXIF orientation?
Yes — exported images have upright pixels and no orientation tag.
Can I rotate a PNG without losing transparency?
Yes. Export as PNG or WebP and transparent areas stay transparent after rotating.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Rotate Image runs entirely in your browser — your files are processed on your own device and never sent anywhere. Once the page has loaded, it even keeps working if your connection drops.
