Ringtone Maker for iPhone & Android

Cut any song to 30 seconds — M4R or MP3

To make a ringtone, drop a song above, pick the best section (up to 30 seconds), choose iPhone (M4R) or Android (MP3) and click Make ringtone. Fylo trims it, adds a gentle fade in and out, and saves the right format — all in your browser, without uploading your music.

Installing an iPhone ringtone

iPhone ringtones are M4R files — AAC audio in an MP4 container, up to 30 seconds (longer files are rejected as ringtones). On a Mac, connect your iPhone, open Finder, select the phone and drag the .m4r file onto it. On Windows, use iTunes: drag the file into the Tones section of your device. Alternatively, import the file into GarageBand on the iPhone and use Share → Ringtone. Then pick it under Settings → Sounds & Haptics → Ringtone.

Installing an Android ringtone

Android accepts MP3 ringtones directly. Save the MP3 to your phone (for example in the Ringtones or Downloads folder), then go to Settings → Sound → Phone ringtone and add it from your files. Menu names vary slightly between manufacturers. You can also set the MP3 as a contact-specific ringtone or a notification sound.

Why is the ringtone limited to 30 seconds?

iPhones only accept ringtones up to 30 seconds (40 seconds for some alert tones). Keeping to 30 works on both platforms.

Can I make a ringtone from a YouTube video?

Only from files on your device that you have the right to use.

Does Fylo add fades automatically?

Yes — a short fade in and a 2-second fade out so the tone loops smoothly.

Can I use it as a notification sound?

Yes. Shorter selections (a few seconds) make better notification sounds.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Ringtone Maker runs entirely in your browser — your files are processed on your own device and never sent anywhere. Once the page has loaded, it even keeps working if your connection drops.
