How to merge PDF

  1. Add your PDFs

Drop two or more PDF files into the box or tap to choose them.

  2. Set the order

Use the up and down arrows to arrange the files. The merged PDF follows the list from top to bottom.

  3. Merge and download

Click Merge PDFs and download the combined document.

How merging works

Fylo uses the open-source pdf-lib library to copy every page from each file, in the order you set, into a new document. Pages are copied as-is — text stays selectable, vector graphics stay sharp and images aren't re-compressed — so the merged PDF has the same quality as your originals. Page sizes and orientations are kept, so you can mix A4 letters with landscape spreadsheets.

Good to know before merging

Bookmarks (the outline panel) and interactive form fields from the source files aren't carried over; if you need filled-in forms, fill and flatten them before merging. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.

Because merging happens on your device, combining confidential contracts, medical records or bank statements doesn't expose them to any server — and there's no upload wait, even for large files.

How do I change the order of the PDFs?

Use the up and down arrows next to each file. The merged PDF follows the list from top to bottom.

Can I merge only certain pages?

Split the PDF first to extract the pages you need, then merge the results.

Is there a limit on the number of files?

No. You can merge as many PDFs as your device's memory allows — typically hundreds of pages on a modern phone or laptop.

Can I merge PDFs on iPhone or Android?

Yes. Tap the box to pick PDFs from Files or your downloads, then merge and save.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Merge PDF runs entirely in your browser — your files are processed on your own device and never sent anywhere. Once the page has loaded, it even keeps working if your connection drops.
