About Fylo

Fylo is a free online file converter built around one idea: your files should never have to leave your device. Every conversion — from HEIC to JPG to merging PDFs — runs inside your web browser using Web Workers and WebAssembly. There's no upload, no server queue and no copy of your documents stored anywhere.

Why we built it

Traditional converters upload your photos, IDs and contracts to their servers, then make you wait to download the result. That's slow on mobile data and uncomfortable for anything personal. Modern browsers are powerful enough to do the work locally, so Fylo does — making it both faster and more private.

What Fylo can do today

Fylo currently offers 61 free tools: conversions between JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, ICO, HEIC and SVG; image compression, resizing and metadata removal; exam-form helpers such as compress image to 20 KB and resize signature to 10 KB; a passport photo maker; and PDF tools to merge, split, compress, rotate and convert. Audio and video conversion are coming next.

How Fylo stays free

Fylo is supported by unobtrusive ads that never cover the converter or download buttons, and there are no fake download buttons. There's no signup, no watermark and no limit on the number of files.
