Signature requirements on online forms
Most application portals ask for a signature image between 10 KB and 20 KB, often with fixed pixel dimensions — banking exams such as IBPS, for example, have used 140 × 60 pixels — in JPG format, signed in black or blue ink on white paper. Requirements differ between exams and organisations and change over time, so check the official notification before uploading, then pick the matching preset or enter custom dimensions.
Get a clean signature from a phone photo
Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen, photograph it in daylight without shadows, and crop close to the signature. Fylo's Clean background option then boosts contrast: light-grey paper becomes pure white and ink becomes darker and more even.

Can I resize a signature to 20 KB instead?
Yes. Set the target to 20 KB — or anything from 5 to 100 KB — in the settings.
My signature is in blue ink. Will Clean background turn it black?
No. It increases contrast but keeps the ink's colour. If a form specifically needs black ink, sign again with a black pen.
My form gives the size in centimetres. What do I enter?
Convert at the form's DPI: at 100 DPI, 1 cm ≈ 39 px, so a 4 × 2 cm signature is about 157 × 79 px. Enter that as a custom size.
Can I also prepare my photo for the same form?
