To resize an image, drop it below, enter a new width or height — or a percentage — and click Resize. Fylo keeps the aspect ratio by default and scales with high-quality smoothing in your browser. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP are supported, the format stays the same, and nothing is uploaded.

How to resize Image

  1. Add your images

Drop one or many images into the box, tap to choose, or paste from the clipboard.

  2. Set the new size

Choose By percent or By pixels. With Keep aspect ratio on, enter just the width or the height.

  3. Resize and download

Click Resize, check the new dimensions, then download each image or all of them as a ZIP.

Pixels, percent or exact dimensions?

Resize by percentage when you simply want everything smaller — 50% halves the width and height and cuts the pixel count to a quarter. Enter exact pixels when a platform specifies a size: 1080 × 1080 for an Instagram square post, 1200 × 630 for a Facebook or LinkedIn link preview, 1920 × 1080 for a Full HD wallpaper. With Keep aspect ratio on, fill in one dimension and Fylo calculates the other so nothing looks stretched.

Does resizing reduce image quality?

Making an image smaller discards pixels, but Fylo downsizes in several halving steps with high-quality smoothing, which keeps edges crisp and avoids the jagged look of one-step scaling. Making an image bigger can't invent detail — it spreads existing pixels over a larger area — so enlargements above about 150% will look soft.

Resizing also reduces file size: halving both dimensions typically cuts a JPG to around a third of its size, which is often all you need to get under an upload limit.

Can I resize several images to the same size at once?

Yes. Add multiple files and the same settings apply to all; download them individually or as a ZIP.

What happens if I turn off Keep aspect ratio?

The image is stretched or squashed to exactly the width and height you enter. Use this only when a site demands exact dimensions and you accept some distortion.

Does resizing change the file format?

No. A JPG stays a JPG and a PNG stays a PNG, so the file works wherever the original did.

How do I resize an image to a specific KB size?

Use Compress image to 20 KB or 50 KB, which adjusts quality and dimensions automatically to hit a size limit.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Resize Image runs entirely in your browser — your files are processed on your own device and never sent anywhere. Once the page has loaded, it even keeps working if your connection drops.
