How to split PDF

  1. Add your PDF

Drop the PDF into the box or tap to choose it. Fylo shows how many pages it has.

  2. Choose how to split

Pick Every page, Custom ranges (one file per range) or Extract pages (selected pages into one file).

  3. Split and download

Click Split PDF and download the files individually or as a ZIP.

Three ways to split a PDF

Every page creates one PDF per page — ideal for separating scanned receipts or individual invoices. Custom ranges let you define exactly which pages go together: '1-3, 4-10, 11' produces three PDFs. Extract pages pulls the pages you list — say '2, 5, 9' — into a single new document, which is the quickest way to share just the part of a document someone needs.

No quality loss

Splitting copies pages directly from the original without re-rendering, so text remains selectable and searchable and images keep their original compression. Each output keeps the original page size and orientation, and even documents with hundreds of pages split in a few seconds.

Output files are named after the original document plus the pages they contain — for example report-pages-4-10.pdf — so you can tell them apart at a glance once they're unzipped.

How do I extract a single page from a PDF?

Choose Extract pages and enter the page number, for example 4. You'll get a one-page PDF.

What if I enter a page that doesn't exist?

Fylo tells you which page numbers are out of range before splitting, so you can correct them.

Can I split a large PDF?

Yes. Splitting doesn't re-render pages, so even very long documents split quickly.

Will bookmarks and links still work?

Links to pages that end up in other files won't work, and bookmarks aren't copied. Page content is unaffected.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Split PDF runs entirely in your browser — your files are processed on your own device and never sent anywhere. Once the page has loaded, it even keeps working if your connection drops.
