What the editor can do

Fylo renders your pages with Mozilla's pdf.js and lets you place new content on top: typed text (saved as real, searchable PDF text for Latin scripts), images and logos, rectangles, circles, lines and arrows, highlights, underlines and strikethroughs, freehand drawing and whiteout boxes. The Pages panel reorders, rotates, duplicates and deletes pages, inserts blank pages or pages from another PDF. The Forms panel fills interactive fields, and Stamps adds page numbers, headers, footers and a diagonal watermark.

What it can't do (yet)

Editing the PDF's existing text in place — retyping a sentence inside the original paragraph — isn't supported: it would mean rewriting the page's content stream and its embedded fonts, which no browser tool does reliably. Instead, cover the old text with Whiteout and type the new text on top. Scanned PDFs can be annotated, but their text isn't selectable without OCR.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. pdf.js, Fabric.js and pdf-lib all run in your browser.

Can I edit password-protected PDFs?

Remove the password in your PDF reader first.

Does saving remove links and bookmarks?

If you only add content, the original document is edited in place and keeps them. Reordering or inserting pages creates a new document, which drops bookmarks.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes — tools sit in a bottom bar and objects can be moved with your finger.

Can I undo changes?

Yes, with Undo and Redo in the toolbar. Page operations like delete and reorder can be undone too.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. PDF Editor runs entirely in your browser — your files are processed on your own device and never sent anywhere. Once the page has loaded, it even keeps working if your connection drops.
