Cut Video Online — Remove Parts
Cut out the middle, split clips, keep what matters
To cut a video, open it above and use Cut out a section: set the From and To times of the part you don't want and click Remove this section — the pieces before and after are joined automatically. You can also split at the playhead and delete any piece. Export when done; nothing uploads.

How to make a cut video
Open the video
Choose the file you want to edit.
Remove sections
Set From and To under Cut out a section, or split at the playhead and delete a clip. Repeat as needed.
Export
Render the edited video as MP4, WebM or GIF.
Cut vs trim
Trimming removes footage from the beginning or end; cutting removes something in the middle — a mistake, a pause, an awkward moment or an advert in a recording. In Fylo each removal turns one clip into two on the timeline, and the gap closes automatically when you export, so the result plays smoothly from one piece to the next.
Cleaning up recordings
Screen recordings, lectures and interviews often have dead air at the start, mistakes in the middle and fumbling at the end. Combine trimming and cutting to remove all three, then export at 720p with a target size to keep the file easy to share.
Finding the exact frame
Pause the preview a moment before the part you want to remove, then nudge the slider to the precise point and copy the time into From. Play past the unwanted section and set To the same way. The timeline updates immediately, so you can play across the join to check it before exporting.
Frequently asked questions
How many sections can I remove?
As many as you like — each cut adds a piece to the timeline.
Will there be a jump at the cut?
The video jumps from the end of one piece to the start of the next, as with any cut. Adding music can smooth over transitions.
Can I undo a cut?
Use Duplicate to keep a backup clip, or reopen the original video — the source file is never changed.
Does it work with MOV from iPhone?
Yes.
Can I cut a video on my phone?
Yes. The editor works in mobile browsers, with tools in a bottom bar. Rendering is slower than on a computer, so keep phone projects short.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Cut Video runs entirely in your browser — your files are processed on your own device and never sent anywhere. Once the page has loaded, it even keeps working if your connection drops.
