Add Watermark to Image
Protect photos with text or logo watermarks
To watermark an image, open it above, type your name or website, choose opacity and colour, and pick a single corner mark or one repeated across the whole photo. For a logo, use Add image and lower its opacity. Export the protected copy — the original never leaves your device.

Corner or tiled?
A small corner watermark at 40–60% opacity credits your work without spoiling the picture — ideal for portfolios and social media. A tiled watermark repeated diagonally across the image at 15–30% opacity is much harder to crop or edit out, which is better for proofs you send to clients before payment, stock previews, or ID copies you share with a specific organisation.
Watermarking ID documents safely
When you send a copy of an ID card or passport, a tiled watermark like 'For XYZ Bank KYC only — 18 Oct 2026' makes it much harder to reuse the copy elsewhere. Because Fylo works on your device, the unwatermarked original is never uploaded anywhere in the process.
Choosing watermark text
Short, specific text works best: your name, studio or website for credit, or a purpose-and-date line for ID copies. Light grey or white text at low opacity suits dark photos; dark grey suits bright ones. Keep tiled watermarks large enough to read when the image is shown as a thumbnail, and avoid covering the main subject with an opaque corner mark.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my logo as a watermark?
Yes. Use Add image to place your logo (PNG with transparency works best), resize it, and lower its opacity.
Can the watermark be removed?
Exported watermarks are part of the pixels. Tiled, semi-transparent marks are much harder to remove than a single corner mark.
Can I watermark many photos at once?
Not yet — the editor works on one image at a time.
Can I watermark a PDF?
Yes — use Watermark PDF.
Does the watermark change the original photo?
No. Your original stays as it is; you download a new, watermarked copy.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Add Watermark to Image runs entirely in your browser — your files are processed on your own device and never sent anywhere. Once the page has loaded, it even keeps working if your connection drops.
