GitHub-flavoured Markdown support
Fylo parses your file with marked, which supports GitHub-Flavored Markdown: headings, emphasis, ordered and unordered lists, task lists, tables, block quotes, inline code and fenced code blocks, links and horizontal rules. The HTML is then laid out as a PDF with selectable text.
Images and limitations
Images embedded as data URLs are included. Images linked from the internet aren't fetched — Fylo never makes network requests with your content — so they're skipped and you'll see a note. Mermaid diagrams, math (LaTeX) and syntax-highlighting colours aren't rendered yet; code blocks appear in a plain style.
Writing Markdown that prints well
Use one # heading at the top for the title and ## for sections — they become clear, bold headings in the PDF. Keep tables narrow, since very wide tables are hard to fit on a portrait page, and break long code lines. Use --- on its own line for horizontal rules. For long documents, choose a slightly smaller font size under Advanced so tables and code fit comfortably.

Frequently asked questions
Can I convert a GitHub README?
Yes — download README.md and drop it here.
Why are my images missing?
Linked web images aren't downloaded for privacy reasons. Embed them as data URLs.
Is the text selectable?
Yes.
Can I change the font size?
Yes, under Advanced.
Are links clickable in the PDF?
Yes, Markdown links stay clickable.
Does it support front matter?
YAML front matter is shown as plain text; remove it before converting if you don't want it in the PDF.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Markdown to PDF runs entirely in your browser — your files are processed on your own device and never sent anywhere. Once the page has loaded, it even keeps working if your connection drops.
